Today we continued adding and subtracting fractions.  The difference between today's lesson and last Wednesday's is that the fractions we worked with today did not have common denominators and we had to find one.

Today we continued multiplying and dividing with rational expressions.  We then started adding and subtracting rational expressions with common denominators.

Tuesday 11/13

Today we learned how to divide with rational expressions.  To divide by a fraction we listen to the dyslexic colonel who would say, KCF. Keep the first fraction the same, Change the division to multiplication, and Flip the second rational number (reciprocal).  We then carry the problem out as a multiplication problem.

Today we learned to multiply rational expressions. The steps are the same as in simplifying a rational expression. That means factor everything and then cancel out common factors.
